Kaysersberg, Alsace, France

People from all over the world travel to Europe to see them: half timbered houses. Sometimes they’re colourful; sometimes they’re just pure white but they always look totally cute and remind us of some Disney fairytales.

The half timbered houses we know in Middle Europe were built in the Middle Ages and are partly still in its orginal condition. These houses shape the appearance of many German and other European Old Towns.

In the past we chose some destinations only because they’re known for their half timbered houses. Of course, we still haven’t seen all of them but they’re surely all on our bucket list.

This post is meant to inspire you for your next trip and of course, to provide you with pretty pictures. Cheers to all the half timbered houses in this world!
