This beautiful bay is located just opposite of Spanish Waters.
On our way to Caracas Bay we discovered a nice little pink lake. We didn’t know anything about it, but it was beautiful.
Nice to visit is a small ruin called Fort Beekenburg. This Fort was built in the beginning of 18th century and was supposed to protect the bay against the English, French and Pirates. It’s accessible for anyone. Attention: on the way up and in the ruin there are shards everywhere. Seems to be a popular meeting place for young people. I can understand that, but Flip-Flops are a bad idea, visiting the Fort 😉
Standing on top of the tower, you can see over the bay of Spanish Waters.
Caracas Bay itself has a beautiful color, but the beach is rocky so we just watched the locals having fun in the sea 😉 We also talked to this guy in the middle (we found out, he used to work in Germany). Really, very nice people here!
