The last station of our trip was Dublin and although it was raining cats and dogs, this was my favourite place in Ireland. On the one hand, due to the awesome people here, on the other hand, we had a lot of fun in Temple Bar.
There’s actually not so much sightseeing here, but this was absolutely ok for us in this case. Eating and drinking are way more fun here anyway.
Still, there are a few corners to visit.
Christ Church Cathedral
This is one of the most beautiful churches in Ireland. At least in my opinion!
Ha’Penny Bridge
This bridge is unspectacular but beautiful to see, especially by night.
Trinity College
Temple Bar
I just can’t imagine someone not having a good time here. We were here on a Saturday and pubs were bursting with people at 6 p.m. already. And they were partying like there was no tomorrow.
We have a huge love for Temple Bar!
Howth
I didn’t expect Howth to be this beautiful and actually, we would have loved to hike along the coast trail to the lighthouse. But the weather has scotched that. Yes, we were not dressed appropriately.
You can eat awesome fish and seafood at the harbour and most of the times you can see seals playing and searching for food under the quay walls.
Malahide Castle
As we hadn’t seen enough castles and fortresses, we made a little detour to Malahide Castle on the day of our departure.
It’s not far from Dublin, so why not!
