One day at the Cape Peninsula!

Who doesn’t know those South Africa pics that make you want to jump into them right away and never come back. Slightly exaggerated but you know what I mean. It’s hard to surpass the beauty of Cape Peninsula.

The Cape Peninsula is probably the touristiest corner of South Africa. Which is annoying on the one hand as you don’t have the place for your own. On the other hand it’s really beautiful and we just can’t be the only ones who want to see it.

At this one day trip from Cape Town everything was about enjoying the picturesque landscape and nature. One day was totally enough to explore the region without hassle.

Muizenberg

Muizenberg is located at False Bay and is famous for its endless white beaches and colourful beach huts.

The little wooden houses beg you to take pictures of them and of course, we were willing to respond their wish.

Boulders Beach

The famous penguin beach ‘Boulders Beach’ is a dream on the one hand as there are penguins on a beautiful beach. It’s just that easy. On the other hand it’s a really busy place. We can tell you about a beautiful spring Sunday. In summer there are probably busses full of people here.

We love those sappy little birds and therefore we just had to go there. It was a really beautiful bay anyway.

Cape of Good Hope

The most crowded place in South Africa? Probably. But still, it’s a breathtaking coast and belongs to every South Africa trip.

South Africa’s most south western tip was once feared by sailors because the cliffs were dangerous.

Cape Point is the impressive landscape point, while Cape of Good Hope is the place where people take photos with the famous sign. Furthermore we’ve seen seals and ostriches there.

What’s important here: You’ll see many baboons throughout the country. But we’ve seen the most of them here and you better don’t get out of the car. And don’t open the windows. Those beasts can be really aggressive.

Chapman’s Peak Drive

From the afternoon to sunset this is probably the most beautiful place on earth. Maybe. But it’s definitely a dream. As the maintenance of the route on the sloupe is really expensive, you have to pay a toll fee for using it.
