The night before we checked in at our hotel. A really nice one. Very clean and large rooms. A bit expensive but it was great. Name: Red Roof Inn!
At first sight, Naples really seams to be a place for old rich people. I can imagine spending my retire-ment here (if I’ll have enough money by then).
Again the sun was shining in the Sunshine State and the villas just looked fantastic.
Naples is a beautiful town, yet not spectacular. You should definitely come here, if you want to see a place full of American pensioners. It becomes clear why it belongs to some kind of American Dream to spent one’s retirement here.
Palms were beautiful and everywhere! The other part of Florida’s population: Countless pelicans living here and, as we realized, they would accompany us the whole trip.
After that we discovered the beautiful beach of Naples. White sand everywhere and the sun burned down. Yes, travelling to Florida was worth every penny.
They also felt very comfortable here.
After tanning for an hour, we went to Naples Pier. Reminds of postcards 😉
Idyllic scenery: Fishermen and so many pensioners. The beach was getting more crowded by early afternoon. At some point, we noticed, there are also young people here 😀
We drove a bit north to the next beach. We’re not sure what it was called, but it was also part of the city’s beach.
It was the perfect place for a sunset. So we bought some food in a supermarket and made a picnic. While enjoying our food, we had to fight against jealous seagulls. Result: We won!
It’s enviable, having the possibility to see something like that every evening. More red isn’t possible 😀
