Neuschwanstein Castle, Bavaria, Germany

As we’re people of the south, we love the area, of course! Men’s mind prefers places with good memories and in our case this is Bavaria.

And Baden-Württemberg is just next to it. It also has beautiful places and our love for wine lead us to the Württembergische Weinstraße.

Just to make it clear, we’re starting with Bavaria and continue with Baden-Württemberg. The numbers don’t mean a priority.

1. Munich

Bavaria’s capital city convinces with its diversity. Unfortunately, it’s associated with the Maximilianstraße and decadence. Though the city has a lot to offer. But even if you don’t like the city itself, it’s the perfect base to make trips to the Alps. Stunning: the view from the Olympiaberg over the city (sometimes you can even see the Alps).

If the real Bavarians are making fun of Franconians, it’s probably because they’re jealous.

This beautiful place does not receive the attention in Germany as it does abroad. For people all over the world, Rothenburg ob der Tauber is what they consider to be Germany. It’s one of the stations at the Romantic Road and known for its half-timbered houses.

A bit more outside the city in Untertürkheim: Rotenberg – a hill with a grave chapel. The story could make your eyes sweat: King William I built it for his early deceased second wife.
