Amsterdam, The Netherlands

Well, we really like travelling, just in case you still don’t know ;).

Amsterdam is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. Probably the best the Dutch created. We were there in February 2014. Cold and windy, but that might happen in summer as well. Having the right clothes it’s no problem. Headline is just playing with clichès. By showing pictures we want to motivate you to visit Amsterdam and show you what we were seeing. That was much, that’s why we separated it in two parts.

As everyone can imagine, many young people from all over Europe are visiting Amsterdam for various reasons.

Some prefer Coffeeshops to sightseeing. Well, that’s OK for us, too. They didn’t thwart us and vice versa. We do our sight- and food-seeing, they’re hanging out in the coffeeshop. Oh man…some of them are really wasted 😀

What makes a city a cool cat

The most important sights are located around Heren-, Keizers- and Prinsengracht.

To be frank – if the main station of city is so beautiful, it speaks volumes for this city. They want to be seen positive from the outside.

Amsterdam Centraal was built on three artificial islands and over 8600 poles. It’s looking similar to the Rijksmuseum, built by the same architects.

Amsterdam is one of the cities in Europe which attracts most tourists. Being there in low season, few tourists were there and prices for hotels were decent. In summer the situation’s different, as research showed.

Amsterdam is perfect for just strolling around. The city of grachts welcomes you to just walk along the Amstel and enjoy the many small canals. Actually there are more than 160 of them in the city.

Not to forget the beautiful houses along the canals – the smallest is just one meter wide 😀

There are countless bicycles and many of them are very good-looking J Being a tourist, you should borrow one. There are many off the record rules, which are unknown to tourists. So you would just encumber the locals.

Not to forget: Westerkerk.

What we wanted to visit was the Anne Frank Huis. The following picture explains, why we didn’t.

We preferred going on to queuing, although we would have loved to see it.

You should better spend your time, seeing something beautiful 🙂

We didn’t go inside. I don’t know anymore why not. Next time 😉

That’s behind the museum – Tourist traps and so on… 😀
